I am a post-doctoral research fellow in Monash Data Future Institute and
Computational & Systems Neuroscience Laboratory at Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health at Monash University working with Prof. Adeel Razi.
I am passionate about advancing
Foundation Models in Neuroscience and NeuroAI. My research focuses on integrating
Graph Neural Networks, Transformers, and Reinforcement Learning to understand the biological mechanisms behind intelligence and continuous learning.
I was the
Organizing Program Chair of the
NeuroAI Workshop @ NeurIPS 2024, which was attended by over
1,400 participants.
I am also a part-time applied scientist at
Cortical Labs. In collaboration with Cortical Labs, and using the DishBrain system (a closed-loop in-vitro network of neurons implemented on multi-electrode arrays and learning to play games in an embodied environment), I am studying the network dynamics during learning and investigating the presence of lifelong learning without catastrophic forgetting in these live biological intelligent systems.
